The Trisolarans’ Transparent World
The Trisolarans are depicted as a hyper-logical and technologically advanced civilization in Liu Cixin’s groundbreaking science fiction series The Three-Body Problem thriving in a harsh and chaotic environment of three suns. Their survival is predicated on absolute truth and collective effort. Their method of communication, which involves broadcasting thoughts openly without filters, makes lying virtually impossible. For them, truth is a cornerstone of progress—a necessity, not a virtue.
This radical transparency shapes their worldview, making them deeply baffled by human deceit. From their perspective, lying is not just counterproductive but incomprehensible. How can a species that relies on cooperation for survival willingly obscure the truth, thereby sabotaging their own potential?
But Why Do Humans Lie?
Humans lie for various reasons: self-preservation, manipulation, social niceties, or fear of confrontation. Lies can be as trivial as a compliment given to avoid awkwardness or as destructive as a betrayal that shatters trust. Humans exist in a complex web of emotions, power dynamics, and societal expectations that often encourage dishonesty as a means to navigate challenges.
As an aquarius sun, moon, rising,
I do not relate with humans as my own kind and it happens only when I am lied to. Aquarians, individuals born under the zodiac sign of Aquarius (typically born between January 20 and February 18). And as much we try to reason and understand the lies and liars, we become detached from the world around us. We uphold the value of being authentic and being true to ourselves and others above everything. We appreciate genuine interactions and are often uncomfortable with deceit or pretense, as lies disrupt the authenticity we strive for in our relationships and environments.
Why Aquarians Are The San Ti Among Humans
Aquarians, much like the Trisolarans, embody a profound commitment to truth and progress. They often find themselves at odds with deceit and dishonesty, which they view as threats not just to interpersonal relationships but to humanity’s collective survival. In a world fraught with lies, Aquarians stand as the last bastion of integrity, akin to the San Ti civilization striving to maintain order in chaos.
For Aquarians, lies are more than ethical breaches; they represent existential threats. Just as the Trisolarans rely on truth to navigate their precarious environment, Aquarians see honesty as essential for progress and evolution. They are visionaries who understand that deceit erodes the foundation of trust and collaboration necessary for survival. In the face of extinction or evolution, Aquarians’ commitment to truth positions them as the last humans capable of rebuilding civilization from the ashes.
Aquarians were the firstborns and will be the last to survive as they are consistently challenged for survival and come out victorious every time they are faced with challenges by their out-of-the-box thinking and unpredictable unique ways they invent to solve any problem. Living in survival mode makes the Aquarians the last man standing in every situation and any intelligent being would be standing behind them like a friend, for Aquarians value friendship above any relationship. Although they come across as cold, being the Fathers of the Zodiac they only know to give their all.
Alien Aquarian Traits To Learn From
Aquarius is a fixed air sign, they perceive the world as unified and consider this to be the basis of true redemption. To them, redemption is when humanity is free of fragmentation. Aquarians are rebellious by nature because they are constantly faced with penetrating questions concerning their individuality, their uniqueness, and their identity. To Aquarians, the past is but a fleeting moment, and they disconnect from the past to find a fresh and unfamiliar reality (present), and are always curious about the future. Aquarians tend to seek truth and logical consistency. Lies, being inherently contradictory to truth, can be particularly frustrating for them as they prefer clear and honest communication.
But by default, Aquarians are surrounded by liars. The only reason and optimism I can find when told a lie is that here is my chance to evolve in ways that can uplift humanity’s path ahead. Aquarians highly value their independence and the trust they place in others. Lies can undermine this trust, making it difficult for them to rely on someone, which is essential for maintaining their sense of autonomy and security.
By presenting a civilization that thrives without deceit, Liu Cixin prompts us to question the necessity and consequences of our own lies. In parallel, Aquarians, are the San Ti among humans, and underscore the vital role of truth in survival and evolution. Perhaps, like the Trisolarans and the Aquarians, humanity could unlock greater potential by striving for a world where truth reigns supreme.
